Although, with time the Army has persistently continued toà changeà theà supplyà processà and has advanced the materials used so that theà distributionà based logistics system canà becomeà more successful. It wasà evidentà that when operation Iraqi freedom begun, the department of defense did not have theà supplyà capabilityà to set up andà manageà the majority ofà distributionà and tools in theater. Theà principalà factor that led to the issues ofà distributionà in the operation Iraqi freedom was insufficient war service maintaining staff in the theater. Most of the units in theà warà serviceà sustenanceà are reservedà and, therefore, need almost 90 to 120 days to activate andà deployà the operation Iraqi freedom. Toà preventà theà trainingà division over the December 2002 festive season, theà conclusionà was decidedà so that there is a delay in some of the recruitment of operation Iraqi freedom (Amaal and Judi, 2007).à Because of this reason, majority of the army and theà aquaticà service logistics staff, did notà prepareà to the theater till the time when theà warfareà troops entered and the significantà warfareà operations were in progress. At the time, when theà warfareà service maintaining staffs were in the theater, defense supply of food and extra parts inà variousà unitsà were exhaustedà and meals that wereà readyà forà consumptionà stocks in the maintaining storehouse were not as much for the day in the operation Iraqi freedom.à This led to the crippling beginning of theà distributionà based logistics system
